these are what we ordered and how i ranked them: 1. noodle 2. rice with octopus 3. tartare 4. broccoli rabe 5. steak 6. fig 7. ceviche 8. scallop i took off one star because as we were enjoying our meal, a server came by and told us no outside beverages were allowed. that is completely understandable but we were almost done eating and it was just a bottle of water && multiple servers came up to refill our cups but still did not mention anything. this was certainly not a big deal but it came to us by surprise.

My friends and I tried every item on the menu (besides dessert). The prices were not great considering the small portions we got. My favorite item was the corn dumpling. Get the corn dumpling! It has a creamy custardy texture that I totally did not expect when first biting into it. It tasted more like cream and caramel than sweet corn, but it was a yummy dish. Sadly it only came with four dumplings so at about $4 a dumpling. The other dishes I enjoyed were the octopus rice (which the rice texture tasted more like risotto) and the broccolini (though you can get more roasted garlic broccoli for a better price elsewhere). My friends liked the ribs a lot and they were definitely fall off the bone tender. The spring rolls were very good as well. I did not care for the plantain, the steak, the figs, the cashew noodles, and all the other dishes that were not mentioned in the previous paragraph. Sometimes I found the use of truffle to be pretty heavy but I know some people like truffle. The ambiance was small and cozy. Servers were friendly. Service can take a while depending on what time you come.

Great flavor and service all around. Scallop with mango sauce was so refreshing, the mint on top wasn't overwhelming at all. Corn dumplings were surprisingly standout - I don't usually expect much from a dumpling app. We also ordered the rib (so soft, wtf wow) and they let us sit 30 mins beyond our time on a Friday. Not too loud or crowded, great color.
